Christie Kelly, Owner and Head Trainer of the Washington, PA territory, is a proud wife and mother of two, who has a lifetime of experience caring for dogs. She is a certified CGC evaluator and a member of the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP). Christie first learned of Elissa Weimer, founder of Paw & Order, in 2013 when an acquaintance mentioned how satisfied she was with her training. She joined the Paw & Order family in 2016 as a volunteer because she loved the idea of working with dogs for a living and hoped to someday make that a reality.
Christie has three dogs of her own and one “grand pup.” Paisley is a 7 year-old Yorkie Poo who is a big dog in a little dog’s body! She holds down the fort with the other dogs. Louie is a 3 year-old Brindle Boxer who is the sweetest boy going. He could teach the world a few things about being kind. Louie hasn’t met a human or dog who he doesn’t like. Giuseppe (Joey), a 2-year old Blue Fawn French Bulldog, is a mama’s boy through and through. Let’s just say that it’s a good thing he’s cute! Bub, Christie’s daughter’s dog, is a white French Bulldog, who provides comic relief and whose personality is larger than life!
Christie also enjoys narcotics detection work. She is part of the Narcotics Detection Team with American K9 Detection and is a member of Dogs for Law Enforcement (DLE). She went through the Paw & Order Train the Trainer program, and has attended other seminars, including “Aggression Mastermind,” hosted by Ted Efthymiadis in Nova Scotia, Canada.
I had an amazing experience with Christie. She kept me informed about how my puppies were doing. We had issues with potty training, excessive barking inside and outside when walking. She also helped with better manners. We are now able to have company without the puppies barking all the time. I’m very pleased with the training and extremely happy with the customer service and attention she dedicated to my pups.

Professional Dog Trainer
Kara has known for years she wanted to work with dogs. She started volunteering at animal shelters in 2017 and knew helping and working with dogs was her passion. She has worked at animal shelters, including the Washington Area Humane Society, veterinary hospitals, and doggy day cares. She attended the 2020 virtual “Aggression in Dogs” seminar with Michael Shikashio and Trisha McMillan.
She loves dogs of all kinds, especially her Aussie duo Indigo and Yogi. She’s worked with many breeds, personalities, and sizes, as well as dog-reactive and human-reactive dogs. Not only has she worked with the behaviors of dogs, but she’s chosen forever homes for dogs in animal shelters.
Kara graduated from our Train the Trainer Program in early 2021 and has been working with clients and their pups ever since. She has also successfully completed the Mango Dogs online training seminar focusing on dog aggression rehabilitation.
I am so fortunate to have Kara on my team. She was trained by Paw & Order founder, Elissa Weimer, and already has a great track record as an in-home dog trainer!
Owner & Head Trainer
“Spending the last several years shadowing Elissa and being a part of the Paw & Order family has been an incredible experience. I have learned so much about the art of training dogs. I have seen numerous transformations of dogs in many different situations where clients couldn’t have been happier. I decided I wanted to help as many dogs and their humans as possible. This is where I am meant to be.”
